Founder/OwnerBen Munson is the Founder and Owner of Silver Sherpa, a senior-focused concierge and downsizing support service built on dedication, advocacy, and fiduciary responsibility.
With a background in real estate and years of experience guiding families through major housing transitions, Ben saw firsthand that seniors needed more than just a Realtor - they needed a trusted guide and accountability partner. Inspired by his mother, Memorie, and her peers, he recognized that navigating the next chapter of life requires more than paperwork and listings. It requires patience, protection, clarity, and someone willing to stand beside you every step of the way.
Ben founded Silver Sherpa to serve as that steady advocate - helping older adults simplify complex decisions, protect their assets, and move forward with confidence. His approach is grounded in integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to those he serves, ensuring every recommendation is made in their best interest.
His mission is clear: to walk alongside seniors with compassion and structure, providing the guidance and accountability they deserve as they transition into their next chapter.
Laura Lawrence
Silver SherpaLaura Lawrence is honored to serve as the first certified Silver Sherpa, bringing both heart and structure to seniors navigating one of life’s biggest transitions.
What makes Laura’s perspective especially meaningful is that she has recently begun her own downsizing journey. She understands firsthand the emotions that come with sorting through decades of memories, making difficult decisions, and stepping into a new chapter. Because she’s living it, she deeply relates to the hesitation, the overwhelm, and the hope that often come with this season of life.
Known for her calm presence and thoughtful communication, Laura takes time to truly listen. She believes seniors deserve patience, clarity, and someone who will walk beside them - not rush them. Her approach is grounded in integrity, compassion, and steady support.
As a Silver Sherpa, Laura doesn’t just help organize next steps - she becomes a trusted guide and accountability partner, helping families move forward with confidence, dignity, and peace of mind.

Memorie Munson is the heart and inspiration behind the Silver Sherpa program. As Ben Munson’s mother, her own journey into the later stages of life brought a deeply personal understanding of the questions, decisions, and uncertainties many seniors and their families face. That realization became the driving force behind creating Silver Sherpa - a proactive, supportive approach designed to help seniors stay in control, plan ahead with clarity, and move into their next chapter with confidence and dignity.
Memorie also built a long and respected career as a real estate agent and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), serving generations of clients with unwavering professionalism, integrity, and care. Her work laid the foundation for the values we carry forward today, and her influence continues to guide our mission to serve seniors and their families with compassion, respect, and trusted guidance.
